Diocesan Youth Rally 2017

The Diocesan Youth Commission in collaboration with the Parish of St. Andrew is organizing its annual Diocesan World Youth Day Rally to be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 in the community of Vieille Case. Pope Francis has invited the youth of the world to reflect on the theme: “The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His Name” (Lk 1:49). Our guest speaker for the day will be Ms. Marie Pascale Affana from the Parish of Fatima, Holy Spirit Chapel. The rally will begin at 10:00am with a parish mission outreach. After the parish outreach groups will assemble at the Baroness Patricia Scotland Primary School from 11:30am.

During the parish outreach groups will be visiting homes in all 6 communities of St. Andrew’s Parish. Each group will be praying one mystery of the Rosary at their assigned home. All participating groups are asked to bring small care packages to present to the families.

Youth are encouraged to wear their group/parish or school T-shirts and are also asked to bring along palms to be blessed. Food and drinks will be on sale at a reasonable cost. A special effort should be made by all parishes/schools to ensure that groups are supervised by responsible adults who will encourage active and attentive participation in the day’s activities. There will be a procession from the school grounds to the Church for the celebration of the Palm Sunday Liturgy at 3:30pm.
